Why it Matters

As a product designer and environmentalist, I want to dedicate myself to making the world a better place. With the risks of climate change becoming more and more prevalent, I’ve noticed that many posters surrounding environmentalism tend to be fear-driven. While this can be an effective way of bringing people to action, I wanted to flip this around and create a positive poster based on the value of universalism; the value of “understanding, appreciation, tolerance, and protection for the welfare of all people and for nature.” Rather than focusing on the negatives and what we are doing wrong, I wanted to instead showcase that we can coexist and thrive without destroying one jungle or the other.

The Poster

Using the value of universalism, this poster aims to sell environmentalism by creating a sense of unity and hope.
